-Corian (Corian) countertop material,Corian is a material formed by combining natural minerals (Aluminum Hydroxide) and acryl (methyl methacrylate) with special chemicals. First used in 1967, Corian is a solid, non-porous and homogeneous surface material consisting of ± 1/3 acrylic resin (also known as PolyMethyl MethAcrylate or PMMA) and ± 2/3 natural minerals. Corian contains Aluminum TriHydrate, a substance obtained from bauxite. Corian countertops are also one of the countertop types produced from this material.
